摘要

A field experiment on the bio-efficacy of conventional and newer insecticides against brown plant hopper (BPH), Nilaparvata lugens (Stal.) and white backedplanthopper (WBPH), Sogatella fiircifera (Hovarth) of rice ecosystem was conducted during Kharif2016 and 2017 at Agriculture Research Farm, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Ten insecticidal treatments viz., acetamiprid 20% SP @ 35 g a.i./ha, carbofuran 3% G @ 750 g a.i./ha, chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC @ 30 ga.i./ha, dinotefuran 20% SG @40 g a.i./ha, fipronil 5 % SC @ 50 g a.i./ha, flubendiamide 20% WG @25 g a.i./ ha, lamda cyhalothrin 5% EC @ 20 g a.i./ha, neem (Azadiractin 0.15 % EC) @ 4 ml/lit., pymetrozine 50% WG @7.5 g a.i./ha and thiamethoxam 25% WG @25 g a.i./ha were evaluated against WBPH and BPH in field conditions. Results revealed that the foliar spray ofpymetrozine 50% WG @7.5 g a.i./ha as the most effective insecticide followed by acetamiprid 20% SP @35 g a. i./ha by registering a reduction of73.28% and 65.87% of BPH and 60.19 and 55.22% reduction in WBPH over the untreated control. Hence, pymetrozine 50% WG @7.5 g a.i./ha may be recommended for the management of BPH and WBPH in rice ecosystem.
