摘要

Physiologic effects of prolonged exposure to a hot or cold environment can have a negative impact on body temperature and exercise performance and could predispose an athlete to injury. The maintenance of body temperature in hot or cold conditions is dependent on the balance between heat production from metabolism, heat gain from the environment, and the loss of heat by conduction, convection, radiation, and evaporation.
