Seattle's Museum of Flight has donated Fiat G-91 PAN MM6244 to Italy's Volandia Park and Flight Museum. The jet, which flew with Italian national display team, Frecce Tricolori, from 1966, was disassembled and placed inside a shipping container on November 18, 2021. It is expected to have arrived in Genoa, Italy, by the time these words are read. It will be transported by road to Malpensa, near Milan, for refurbishment prior to display at Volandia. The US museum owned the Fiat from the late 1980s, via agreement between Boeing and Aeritalia, but it was decided a return to Italy would be a fitting final destination for it. Renowned collector Doug Matthews generously donated funds for its transportation. The G-91 will be displayed indoors in Volandia in Lombardy, in time for 2023's Italian Air Force centenary.
