摘要

As G7 leaders prepare for their annual summit meeting in Japan, Germany seems to be backing the host nation's efforts to ensure that natural gas continues to play a role in developed nations' energy mix. In the run-up to the summit in Hiroshima that starts on May 19, the Financial Times reported that Germany is supporting Japan's call for public investment in the gas sector. A spokesperson at Germany’s ministry of economic affairs and climate action told Energy Intelligence that the ministry is "strictly against public investment in the gas sector."
