LyondellBasell Delays Refining Biz Exit; Plans Future Options for Houston Site

Houston— LyondellBasell plans to postpone its exit from the refining business from the end of this year to no later than the end of the first quarter of 2025 (PCN, 25 Apr 2022, p 2). In April 2022, the company announced it would cease operation of its 268,000-b/d refinery in Houston, Texas, and was considering potential transactions and alternatives for the site. It still remains committed to exiting the oil refining business.
