To achieve an electromagnetic (EM) shield with low reflectivity and transmissivity,an approximation of the perfectly matched layer (PML) used in FDTD analysis is proposed.One layer of the PML approximately consists of magnetic and dielectric layers.Under the matching condition,as design parameters,the relative permeability and permittivity,thickness,the number of layers,and conductivity are discussed for a ID FDTD simulation that was performed.As a result,an EM shield was designed with a reflection coefficient of-20 dB and transmission coefficient of -40 dB,which indicated the feasibility of developing an EM shield with low reflectivity and transmissivity.
