The objective of this study was to evaluate feed quality and profitability of small dairy farms. The data was colleted by personal interviews, proximal analysis of feed and month sampling milk. A stratified sampling design with Neyman's allocation was used. The results showed that cow's feeding was based alfalfa, corn stove, silage and hay oats, complemented with a concentrate feeding based on corn grain, sorghum grain, soybean, coconut meal, bakery waste, tortilla, brewers, corn brand and wheat brand. The costs per milk liter was dollar sign3.16 (Mexican pesos), with a balance point of 6.5 milking cows and 6,9 I/milk/ cow-1.
