IPGRI/ATSAF/DSE: Report on the Workshop 'In-situ Conservation and Sustainable Use of Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture in Developing Countries', 02.05. - 04.05.95 in Bonn/Germany

摘要

A workshop on "In-situ conservation and sustainable use of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture (PGRFA) in developing countries", which took place from 2 to 4 May in Bonn, was jointly organized by the German Council for International Agricultural Research (ATSAF), the German Foundation for International Development (DSE), and the International Plant Genetic Resources Institute (IPGRI). The workshop funded by BMZ was held on the background of the Convention on Biological Diversity which stresses the importance of conservation of genetic resources in protected areas as well as on-farm. Sustainable use is a major element of in-situ conservation.
