Container freight rates are likely to stabilize at higher levels than in 2019 due to increased slot costs for container lines, according to Antonios Rigalos, chief growth officer of ocean freight co-operative XSTAFF. Founded in 2016 by retailers COOP (Switzerland) and Colruyt Group (Belgium), the company is currently in the process of tendering its members' ocean freight programme for the year.
