摘要

To minimize the air conditioning expenditures of buildings with large area glass facades, high performance solar control coatings are frequently in the focus of development work. Such coatings require a low solar heat gain coefficient at the highest possible visible transmission and hence can be considered as band-pass filters centered in the visible part of the spectrum. The narrower the transmitted wavelength spectrum, the higher the selectivity. As soon as the transmitted bandwidth is narrower than the visible spectral range, reflected and transmitted colours come into play. A well adjusted colour in the facade is a desired effect as it gives the buildings an attractive and individualized appearance.
