Qatargas looks to new LNG deal with Petronas

Malaysian state-owned energy company Petronas has made a sales and purchase agreement for future LNG supply with Qatari state-owned producer Qatargas. The deal replaces a previous, interim agreement between the two companies that expired last year. A spot LNG cargo that was delivered to Petronas’ new 3.8mn t/yr Malacca facility was sold under the agreement (AGL, May, p5).
