BG considers third-party gas for QCLNG

UK firm BG is looking at buying third-party gas in Australia to ensure it has sufficient production capacity before the start of its two-train 8.5mn t/yr Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project next year, chief executive Chris Finlayson says. The $20.4bn project at Gladstone, Queensland, remains on schedule for first shipments by the end of 2014. It has started its commissioning phase, with the entire export pipeline laid and testing under way.
