First Gen delays import terminal decision

Philippine energy firm First Gen has delayed a final investment decision (FID) on its LNG import terminal in Batangas province to the third quarter from early this year, as it considers whether to develop a land-based or offshore floating facility. The company last year expected to make an FID by early 2016, with start-up targeted in 2019-20 (AGL, July, p12). The delay is likely to mean that the terminal, if land-based, may now come on line in 2020-21.
