Texas LNG files Ferc application

The Texas LNG project, located near Brownsville, has applied for construction authorisation from US energy Regulator Ferc. The mid-scale project still plans to come on line in 2020, despite continued low oil prices. It expects to receive Ferc approval in the fourth quarter of 2017 and start construction immediately following phase 1, which would have capacity of 2mn t/yr, equivalent to about 275mn ft~3/d (2.8bn m~3/yr) of gas.
