Australia expects LNG price recovery

The Australian government expects LNG export prices to increase over the period to June 2018, as contracts associated with new projects come into force. LNG shipments are likely to rise significantly in the 2015-16 financial year that starts on 1 July as new Australian projects come on line. The 15.6mn t/yr Gorgon LNG, 7.8mn t/yr Gladstone LNG and 9mn t/yr Australia Pacific LNG projects are all expected to start deliveries in 2015-16, along with the second train of the 8.5mn t/yr Queensland Curtis LNG project.
