Gasol signs LNG supply agreement with Ghana

London-listed energy company Gaso has signed a conditional natural gas supply agreement with Ghanaian state owned power generator Volta Rive Authority(VRA)that paves the way fo it to proceed with developing an LNG import terminal. The deal with VRA is for 100mn ft3/d (1bn m3/yr)of gas—equivalent to abou 750,000 t/yr of LNG.Gasol previously concluded a supply agreement with the electricity authority jointly owned by Benin and Togo,Communaute Electrique du Benin,representing 60mn ft3/d of gas or about 450,000 t/yr of LNG.The two agreements mean that Gasol can now go ahead with a proposed floating storage and regasification unit(FSRU)in Cotonou harbour,Benin.
