US Exim bank to finance Philippines LNG

The US Export-Import Bank(Exim)has signed an initial deal with the Philippines’ Department of Energy for$1bn of financ-ing guarantees to develop LNG import facilities and renewable energy generat-ing capacity in the Philippines.The bank will finance medium and long-term loan guarantees and may also provide direct dollar loans up to a combined value of $1bn.
