French cement manufacturer Lafarge’s revenues from the sale of EU emissions trading scheme (ETS) allowances fell by 86pc to ?14mn ($19.2mn) last year from ?99mn in 2012. The firm made ?11mn from selling allowances in western Europe and ?3mn in central and eastern Europe. This marks a steep decline from 2012 revenues of ?73mn in western Europe and ?26mn in central and eastern Europe.
