Xinjiang Yuexing starts building anode plant

Chinese lithium-ion battery anode material producer Xinjiang Yuexing started site construction of an anode material plant in Korla city, Xinjiang province on 1 March. The firm will invest 6.9bn yuan ($1bn) to build the plant, which has a designed production capacity of 200,000 t/yr of anode materials used in lithium-ion batteries, but it has not unveiled when the plant will be launched.
