Development of a Production System and Verification Experiment of a Production Workflow for Object-based audio

This paper introduced production equipment that supports object-based audio developed by STRL. Furthermore, connection verification experiments were performed on the developed production equipment, and it was confirmed that it operated without any problems. Although object-based audio is a technology for which practical implementation has been proceeding mainly for cinema for over 10 years, there has been insufficient progress for broadcasting in the development of live production tools and the development of conversion technology for connecting together various devices and operating with mutual conversion of audio metadata. In the future, we will pursue the development of equipment that solves these problems and pursue practical application of object-based audio in broadcasting.
