In my presentation I would like to present review of Shin Sato's career, emphasizing his main research interests, his family, and the advice he gave me that I apply in my current field of study.Shin Sato(1928-2022),was born in Yokohama where he lived most of his life.Sato graduated from the Tokyo Institute of Technology(T.I.T.)in chemistry in 1951,and received his Doctor of Science degree(D.Sc.)in 1960.He spent two periods at R.J.Cvetanovic Laboratory in Ottawa Canada:during 1956-1958 and in 1965.During 1981-1988 he was professor at the Research Laboratory for Nuclear Reactors at T.I.T.In 1989 he retired as professor emeritus of T.I.T.Sato continued his professorship at the College of Arts and science,Chiba University(1988-1993).Sato's work on the Potential Energy Surface of the System of Three Atoms led to the LEP term being modified to LEPS(London-Eyring-Polanyi-Sato Method).
