OMV-Gazprom asset swap moves ahead

Russia’s state-controlled Gazprom will receive a 38.5pc stake in Austrian integrated oil and gas company OMV’s Norwegian upstream unit after completing an asset swap deal, which is expected to close in mid-2017. OMV’s Norwegian portfolio comprises shares in 32 licences. The assets produced 67,000 b/d of oil equivalent (boe/d) in the first nine months of this year.
