Fostering high-value, cost-conscious care [2]

TO THE EDITOR: The Good Stewardship Working Group of the National Physicians Alliance applauds Qaseem and colleagues (1) for their identification of screening and diagnostic tests that, when misused, discourage high-value, cost-conscious care. Physicians should be at the forefront of identifying inappropriate procedures, and such a consensus list represents an important contribution to this effort.
