Gazprom prioritises Nord Stream 2 feeder

Russian state-controlled Gazprom will concentrate on building a domestic pipeline to deliver Yamal peninsula gas for export through the planned Nord Stream 2 line. The firm welded the first joint of the Ukhta-Torzhok 2 pipe- line on 27 October at a ceremony attended by chief executive Alexei Miller and Sergei Gaplikov, acting president of Russia’s Komi republic. “Ukhta-Torzhok 2 will be ready to ship gas by 2019,” Miller says. The 45bn m~3/yr route will run for 970km from the Yamal peninsula to Gazprom’s northwest network.
