This project reimagines what a high-rise building should look like. The proposed tower at Oslo's Gr0nland metro station is intended to repair and enhance this piece of the city. Located at the confluence of rail, river, cycle and walking routes, the tower will be a vertical link for existing and developing transport networks, particularly the city's burgeoning use of electric ferries. Technological advances in timber construction have maximised the efficient and sustainable use of material in the timber structure, while the innovative 'maxifloors' - three-storey high structural decks - will allow the tower to be reimagined and reprogranrmed to the city's needs. The tower will be flexible in the face of changes in use and accommodate a range of uses which contribute to a rich and diverse city.
