Australian upstream independent Santos is optimistic about the future of LNG exports from Australia, despite industrywide concerns that high costs will curtail the next stage of growth. “Costs in Australia are 20-30pc higher than the competition, but that does not mean everything is off,” Santos chief executive David Knox says.
