US LNG exports ‘will not impact domestic prices’

US LNG exports will be limited to a gas equivalent range of 2bn-6.4bn ft~3/d (20.6bn-66bn m~3/yr) in 2020-30 and will not significantly impact domestic gas prices, according to the Washington, DC-based Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC). In four of six supply-and-demand scenarios examined, US net pipeline gas exports to Mexico would exceed net LNG exports in 2030, according to a BPC report, New Dynamics of the US Natural Gas Market. Under all scenarios, US LNG exports ramp up each year in 2015-20, but stay flat in 2020-30.
