Forecaster warns on global outlook

Global LNG demand is likely to rise strongly by 2020, the Australian government says. But the outlook for the next decade to 2030 is less clear because of excess capacity, increased competition from other fuel sources and possible changes to environmental policies in key demand markets. Current excess capacity and low LNG prices are likely to continue in the medium term, according to the Office of the Chief Economist’s (OCE) Gas Market Report 2015.
