Chubu mothballs more gas-fired power units

Japanese utility Chubu Electric Power plans to mothball two old power generation units that run on regasified LNG, cutting 440MW of capacity at its Yokkaichi thermal power plant this month. The move will reduce the firm’s total gas-fired power capacity by 3pc to around 16,720MW for the fiscal year that started on 1 April.
