Gladstone LNG shipments reach new high

LNG exports from the three coal-bed methane to LNG plants at Gladstone in Australia edged to a monthly record of 1.56mn t in September from 1.51mn t in August, as shipments to Japan increased. The three plants shipped a total of 24 LNG cargoes last month, up from 23 shipments in August, data from Gladstone port authority GPC show. The latest monthly shipments are equivalent to an annualised 18.73mn t.
