A report challenging government claims that heat pump costs are set to plummet prompted a debate on the technology. Can someone actually show a simple comparison of how extracting the latent heat out of the air or ground on a very cold day in the UK will get the whole of a standard UK house at a cosy 20C without using more electricity in pumping than you would in heating?
