Total expects to more than double its LNG supply portfolio to 15mn t/yr by 2020 from 7mn t in 2014. And the com- pany will significantly increase its LNG tanker fleet to 12 vessels from two to handle the extra supply. The structure of the company’s port- folio will remain broadly unchanged, with 60pc of supply having flexible destina- tion options in 2020. Many LNG con- tracts have fixed destinations, which prevents sellers from diverting cargoes to higher-priced markets.
