Polskie LNG to buy commissioning cargoes

State-controlled Polskie LNG, the developer of Poland’s first LNG import terminal, is nearing completion of a contract to buy two commissioning cargoes for delivery in the first half of this year. The cargoes will have a combined volume of about 400,000m3 and the company has already approached a number of potential suppliers. It is now in advanced talks with the selected supplier that offered the most flexibility in timing of the delivery. The deal will be signed once construction work at the much-delayed terminal is complete (AGL, January 2014, p9).
