PNG LNG on track for start-up in second half of 2014

The 6.9mn t/yr PNG LNG project in Papua New Guinea (PNG) is on track to make its first shipments in the second half of 2014, and there is no change to its $19bn budget, project operator ExxonMobil says. The firm has not been specific about the timing of debut shipments from the first LNG project to be built on the Pacific island nation. It says the project is 90pc complete, as does project partner Australian independent Oil Search.
