Cheniere seals supply deal with Engie

US company Cheniere Energy has agreed to supply French energy firm Engie with up to 12 LNG shipments a year between 2018 and 2023. The LNG will be delivered to the Montoir terminal in western France. The cost of the cargoes will be linked to prices at the French Peg Nord and Dutch TTF natural gas hubs. The LNG can also be delivered to other European LNG terminals, Engie says. Cheniere has an option to cancel each cargo under conditions set out in the contract. Shipments will be primarily acquired from Cheniere’s planned 15mn t/yr Corpus Christi project in Texas, where the first 5mn t/yr train is due on line in 2018.
