US Republican senator John Barrasso plans to try to attach language authoris-ing US exports of LNG to Ukraine and Nato members to an economic assis-tance package for Ukraine. With the Senate Foreign Relations Committee preparing legislation to provide loan guarantees to Ukraine, Barrasso announced plans on 10 March to offer an amendment requiring the administration to approve LNG export licences to Ukraine and US Nato allies.
