Pakistan looks to Qatargas for LNG

Pakistan’s state-owned oil marketer PSO is seeking to sign a contract with state-owned Qatargas to import LNG through planned open-access terminals at Port Qasim in Karachi.PSO is acting as LNG buyer for Pakistan’s government to secure long-term and spot supply contracts.It aims to supply 3mn t/yr of LNG to state-controlled gas utility Sui Southern Gas for a tolling fee of 66￠/mn Btu.
