China reinforces oil refning, smelting freeze

China has issued its latest ban on new oil refning, steel, coking, cement, electrolytic aluminium and glass, excluding photovoltaic glass, projects in key regions to cut pollution and carbon emissions, under a new plan aimed at combating cli- mate change, although the government said it has a long way to go to achieve carbon neutrality.
