Simon Whyatt bought a Yukon Grey 1997 Cooper MPi which needed new front wings and A-panels. He added a matching trailer in 2011 and embarked on an engine swap late in 2012. He was rightly proud of the way he neatly converted his Mini with a 100bhp 8-valve 1598cc Vauxhall C16SE engine: "The MPi engine costs so much to tune for so little gain, hence the change. I have always wanted to keep it looking normal from the outside, to amaze at shows, as people always say it can't be done. I have managed this and it's the best thing I could have done."
