Consumer country organisation the IEA expects big changes on the global gas market in the next two years as new suppliers enter Asia-Pacific — poten- tially bad news for Russian producers in price talks with Asia-Pacific buyers. “Flexibly priced American gas can provide the liquidity for the develop- ment of an Asian gas hub and a more integrated market,” IEA executive director Maria van der Hoeven said while presenting the IEA’s Medium- Term Gas Market Report at last week’s St Petersburg Economic Forum.
