The BIS Standards for Aflatoxin contamination in different feeds needs to be enforced strictly. It is also recommended that the feed manufacturers and the dairy farmers should be trained to create awareness about the quality and safety parameters of compounded cattle feeds and fodders. There is a strong need for implementing a strict monitoring programme for non-conforming milk product samples. Food Business Operators should get their food handlers trained in good manufacturing practices, good hygienic practices and sanitary requirements under the FoSTac Training Programme. The food safety officers must be encouraged to draw samples of milk and milk products regularly to discourage adulteration and administer food safety principles and practices.
