摘要

GAZPROM Neft says it is making progress with plans to commercialise liquid hydrocarbons at three large gas fields operated by its parent company, Gazprom. Gazprom Neft executives said during a conference call last week that they expect a 2026 start-up for commercial production of a mixture of gas and condensate at the fields in West Siberia's Yamal Peninsula. The Russian state-controlled oil producer plans to drill horizontal development wells into deep Neocom and Jurassic reservoirs at the Bovanenkovo and Kharasavey deposits on the Yamal Peninsula, and into the Achimov formations on Gazprom's core legacy asset in the area, the Urengoy field. Development of these deep layers will go ahead under a long-term risk-sharing agreement with Gazprom, which holds a 96% stake in Gazprom Neft. Gazprom Neft upstream planning head Igor Shkirov said detailed engineering has started on the projects and the company is "moving forward gradually to eliminate uncertainties". At Urengoy, Gazprom Neft will join Gazprom and its existing gas and condensate producing ventures in developing deep and highly pressurised Achimov layers, giving it access to existing processing and transportation infrastructure for gas and condensate production. However, it will have to build a marine export terminal in the Kara Sea near the shore of the Yamal Peninsula to export condensate separated from natural gas produced from the Bovanenkovo and Kharasavey fields. In the meantime, produced gas from the two fields will be sent to Russian customers via a Gazprom-controlled pipeline.
