BP chooses its favoured concept for GTA project

BP has finally selected the development concept for phase two of its delayed Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) liquefied natural gas project offshore Senegal and Mauritania, rejecting a floating LNG solution. This project has been on the back burner for the past year as the partners grappled with the best technical solution, amid political strains between the Dakar and Nouakchott governments, exacerbated by divergent economic agendas and security concerns.
