UK independent JKX has launched output at its Koshekhablskoye gas field in southern Russia's Adygea region, but its ability to restore flagging output at its core Ukrainian assets is in doubt. Koshekhablskoye's first well began feeding the Gazprom network in mid-April and JKX expects a permit to operate by the end of June. But technical problems are delaying two other wells, with one requiring a sidetrack to overcome a blockage. JKX has also acquired the Giorgievskoye licence, which contains part of the Koshekhablskoye field.
