China's crude imports fell to their lowest level in almost four years in June, hit by the impact of Covid-19 lockdowns earlier in the year. Imports were 8.72mn b/d last month, according to prelimi- nary customs data released on 13 July. That was down by 19pc from 10.79mn b/d in May and by 11pc from 9.81mn b/d in June last year. China's crude imports were last lower in July 2018, at 8.5mn b/d.
