Drilling on track at East Messoyakh

Gazpromneft has started development drilling at the 1.4bn bl East Messoyakh field on the Gydan peninsula, planning to start commercial production next year. The firm, which operates the field alongside partner Rosneft, aims to complete 21 wells, including horizontal wells. One well will be for gas production, to supply an 84MW power plant being built onsite. Gazpromneft will use six rigs at the field, four for development drilling and two for exploration.
