OMV buys RWE Nabucco-West stake

Austria’s OMV has bought German firm RWE’s 16.67pc stake in the Nabucco-West pipeline project, taking its stake to 33.34pc. RWE announced late last year that it planned to pull out of Nabucco-West (FSUE, 13 December, p11). The German company backed the 31bn m~3/yr Nabucco classic concept, hoping to ship Caspian gas through the line to its power stations in Germany and the Czech Republic.
