UK’s Gateway storage project appoints engineers

Engineers have been appointed to draw up the initial plans for the Gateway gas storage facility in the UK, project backer Stag Energy said last week. The ￡600mn ($970mn) project envis- ages 1.5bn m~3 of gas storage in salt caverns in the Irish Sea, which would be connected to the UK system through the Barrow terminal.
