Ukraine cut diesel imports to 419,000t in September, with supplies from Belarus falling most sharply because of refin- ery maintenance (see table). Many importers stockpiled diesel at tankfarms in July- August ahead of scheduled maintenance at Belarus’ 323,000 b/d Mozyr refinery in September-October. Diesel supplies from Russia are expected to fall in October as Russian sup- pliers cannot ship the product to Ukraine unless they submit a certificate to the customs service stating that it will not be used by defence and law enforcement agencies for military purposes. Lukoil supplied some September diesel from its 290,000 b/d Volgograd refinery and Forteinvest supplied the fuel from its 135,000 b/d Orsk refinery in September and the first half of October.
