Transneft offers link for yug line

Transneft is ready to make part of a crude pipeline available for use as part of the proposed Yug - or "South" - product pipeline that subsidiary Transnefteprodukt (TNP) aims to build. The section runs from Krymsk in southern Russia's Krasnodar region to the port of Novorossiysk and is a spur from one of two lines running from the Tikhoretsk pipeline junction to the Black Sea port. The Yug project envis- ages launching an 8.7mn t/yr pipeline in 2016-17 for 10ppm sulphur diesel from Rosneft's Samara refineries, TNK-BP's 180,000 b/d Saratov plant and Lukoil's 195,000 b/d Volgograd refinery. It is still unclear whether the line would terminate at Novorossiysk or Tuapse, also on the Black Sea.
